Dear Bud, Maddy, Hunter and all of Tara’s family and friends,
I was so terribly sad to read of Tara’s passing. Tho’ I didn’t know her well, it was evident when one spent time with her what a gift she was to her family, friends and all who knew her. Please know that I hold you all in my heart and my prayers at this sad time.

Mrs. Van Horn substituted for a long period of time in my sixth grade class and if I remember did part of her student teaching in my third grade class. I used to bring in these little books for her to read to us in third grade about science. She indulged me and read them to the class, I had transferred to SJ from another district the year prior and hadn't had much luck making friends. This small act made such a difference to me. Wishing her family peace and comfort.
