Madelyn was my late mother’s Barbara Meyers boss at DSS in Mexico. My mother always said the biggest blessing she received in her years at that job was that Mrs Schmidt became her boss . Madelyn was intelligent, kind , compassionate and caring for not only the clients but her own group of employees. In 2010 after my mother suffered Two strokes and came to live with me , Madelyn visited us quite a few times . Music to my ears was these two precious women's laughter and the sharing of their memories of years of friendship. I am so sorry that I saw this to late to pay my respects . Your mother was certainly a remarkable woman

I first met Madeline years ago, when I worked at DSS and after at Office for the Aging. She and her late husband, Ralph, were exemplary members of our community. I extend my sincere sympathies and prayers to the family.

I knew Madelyn years ago when I worked for Oswego County. She was always a lovely, gracious lady and a pleasure to interact with. I am so sorry to learn of her passing.

Madelyn and I go back several years. We started school together at the one room school in Volney. Then my family moved and we lost contact. We both married farmers from Mexico and reconnected thru several farm organizations, Mexico school activities and the Mexico United Methodist Church. She was a very special lady. I enjoyed all my connections with her and feel very fortunate to call her friend. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family.
