I would like to offer my condolences for the passing of Donald. I never met him but have always been intrigued by him when passing his farm. I have a camp on the lake and would look for him in the yard or on his tractor in that straw hat every-time I drove by. Last fall I was lucky enough to snap a picture of a rainbow over the property. It’s a beautiful picture. I framed it and was planning on dropping it off the next time I saw him out. So sad we did not get the opportunity. I would offer to it someone in your family If anyone was interested. Or can at least send a digital copy via email. So sorry for your loss. I will miss the man in the hat on the tractor and wish I had the chance to meet him.

My uncle was a very special person in so many ways. He was honest, positive and a "salt of the earth" farmer. I have so many wonderful memories of playing on his farm, riding motorcycles and playing in the waves of Ocean City. Rest in Peace dear Uncle Donny.

I have been friends wih Donnie since High School, although we have not seen each other since he moved to New York, we kept in constant contact by phone. I was really looking forward to him getting tha 5th wheeler and coming to Missouri like he was planning. Don was a hard worker all of his life. Rest in peace good buddy, I'll miss you.

I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful man as my uncle. Lots of fond memories through the years. My first motorcycle ride, watching him swim way out past the waves in Ocean City, watching him help a calf being born, how he, much like his Father, loved his peaches and desserts. What a hard working dedicated man. His knowledge on the farms and care for the cattle in his lifetime was the best. Rest in peace my dear sweet uncle. You will be missed.

We first met Don 18 years ago. We were neighbors and fellow dairymen, who quickly became friends. We knew Don to be hardworking, smart, fair and humble. We will miss not having his physical presence in our lives, but we have good memories of time spent with him. Our deepest sympathy goes to his family members. - Urs and Joleen Walthert
