Mrs. Velma M. Lannie, age 85, of West Amboy, NY, went home to be with the lord on the afternoon of April 26, 2023, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on October 12, 1937, in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of LaVerne and Ina Wright. Velma was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert E. Lannie.

Velma is survived by three daughters, two sons, three sons-in-law and two daughters-in-law, Terry Douglas (Gary), Robin Brown (David), Nick Lannie (Karen), Bob Lannie (Shelly) and Laurie Whaley (Dale); Several grandchildren, Gary, Chris, Corey, Brandon, Amanda, Nicole, Josh, Miss, David, Robi and DJ; many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 from Harter Funeral Home, inc. 2983 W. Main Street, Parish, NY. Interment will be in West Amboy Cemetery. Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
