I would like to give my sincere condolences to Teresa's family and friends. I knew her from taking my dogs to doctor kings office and I have to say she was the sweetest and most outgoing person. I will certainly miss her kind soul when visiting the office as she always had a kind word as well as openly showing her love for our animals. Thank you Teresa and may you rest safely in the arms of god. Ron Sweeting

I'm deeply saddened by the tragic news of Teresa. We worked together for about 7 years at Red's Video, and I knew her for more than 20. Not only was she an extremely intelligent and completely dependable co-worker, she was a good friend. She was one of the only people I know who liked bands like The Cure and The Sisters of Mercy … we had countless conversations about music and movies. To say I'm in shock would be an understatement. Words cannot express. All of my most sincere condolences go to Gloria, Matt, and Tony.

I can't express my sadness in words that make any sense. I was friends with Teresa for a long time, though we had lost touch over the last few years. She as always quick with a smile and fiercely intelligent, and her love for animals was unparalleled. I have so many find memories with her, and I'm thankful for that. I am so sorry for your loss. Tree, I hope that wherever you are, you are surrounded by cats, watching 70s flicks like BLACK BELT JONES and laughing that special laugh of yours.

I did not know Teresa. I just read the story about her in the Post-Standard. But from reading about her love of animals -- it is clear she will be deeply missed by all the animals and all animal lovers everywhere -- including this one. Teresa -- all the critters will guide you home safely -- just as you have done for them. RIP from just one Syracuse Animal Lover.

I rode the bus to school with Teresa for many years and we often sat together and chatted about life. We talked about anything and everything as we listened to 93Q on the speakers. What I am most thankful for is her dedication to helping animals. If it wasn't for her I would not have my Teddy Bear cat as she told me about him needing a home when she was working at the Mexico Veterinary Hospital several years ago. The story starts with my mom who had just lost my dad and then her cat, Belle, shortly after. She was looking for a new feline pal to help with the loneliness. Teresa told me about a feral cat that had been raised by one of the vet techs and my mom went the next day to the vet's and fell in love with Teddy. He came home with her that very day. Later when my mom needed to rehome Teddy he came to live with me. I am blessed by the love of a once feral cat who is a complete love bug. That wouldn't have happened if Teresa had not had the heart of gold for animals that she had. I am grateful for her friendship all those years that we rode the bus and the years that followed. I may not have seen her frequently but I knew she provided homes for many cats and dogs in her adult life. I hope all of those animals that have passed on meet Teresa at the Rainbow Bridge. Rest easy, my old friend, your work here will not be forgotten. You touched countless lives: human, canine, and feline and we are all the better for it.
