Obituary for Stephanie A. King

In Loving Memory
Stephanie A. King
July 11, 2022

July 11, 2022 was the day our world crashed and this world lost a truly beautiful person, on the inside and out.

Stephanie Ann (Tyler) King, 49, was unexpectedly taken far too soon from her family. Born, September 17, 1972; just one year and two days after her only sister Missy, Stephanie was a born giver. Family was the most important thing to her and she always did anything she could for all of us. A top tier “mama bear” Stephanie fought fiercely for her children, always making sure they had the tools to navigate through life. Steph and her shattered husband Dave having been together since high school, shared many special times together, and had so many plans for their future. She was his rock and the glue of the family, Stephanie was also the sister who always brought all of her siblings together. She loved morning coffees with her husband Dave, being a cheer mom, taking spur of the moment trips to Buffalo to visit extended family, camping, crafting, “chillin” at home, cheering on Payton and her basketball team from the sidelines, throwing the best family parties, baking, cooking, shopping trips with her mother Vicki. Stephanie meant a lot to so many people but to her mother, she was her best friend and to her father, she was his “Little Dutch Girl.”

She was the most fabulous cook and first-class baker who always loved trying new recipes to share with her beloved family and friends. She cooked like she was feeding an army. If anyone went away hungry from one of the family gatherings it would have been their own fault. Food was her love language.

She was a 1991 graduate of MACS and recently employed by same school district which was perfect because she wanted to be close to her special needs daughter, Payton. Steph (as she was affectionately known to the people close to her) owned and operated Little Ladybug Daycare for many years creating lifelong relationships with the children and families she cared for. Her creative side came out every Christmas, finding meaningful crafts for the kids to make for their parents to give as Christmas gifts. Stephanie cared for her nieces and nephews like they were her own, even fostering one of them for a period of time. Stephanie proudly obtained her Associates Degree from Bryant and Stratton College in 2013.

Stephanie Ann (Tyler) King leaves behind devastated loved ones who will honor and cherish her memory until the end of time, her high school sweetheart, best friend, soulmate and husband of 24-years David, her beloved children who were her pride and joy, son Caleb (Jennifer) King, daughters Mickenzie King (Jonathan Dana) and Payton King. Proud parents Stephen and Victoria Tyler. Adoring siblings, sister Melissa (Jeremy) Sampsell, brothers Matthew (Tarissa Kimler) and baby brother Stephen Tyler who also considered Steph his best friend. “The one who made her an Aunt” niece and Goddaughter Morgan Tyler, her sweet lab Jersey as well as many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless people who were lucky enough to know her and experience love, giant heart, kindness and generosity.

Stephanie was predeceased by her Maternal Grandparents Dean and Margaret Miles Paternal Grandparents Orville and Dorothy Tyler, Mother and Father-In-Law Ronald and Phyllis King. All of whom, I am sure, welcomed her with open arms. We are overwhelmed with grief, loss and sadness and are now all lost without you Steph. Please watch over and keep us safe, as you would here on earth. You should be here ❤️ XOXOXO
