Shirlee H. Schremp passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital with her family by her side.

Shirlee was born on November 19th, 1943, in Brisbane Australia to Norman Maxam and Daphne Douglas-Fairhurst. Shirlee lived in Australia until she was 6 years old and moved to the US with her mother after WW2 to be with her father, Norman. Shirlee worked at Owens, The Lock III Marina, and was a volunteer for Fulton Youth Basketball. She was a member of the SPCA as she had so much love for animals of all kinds. Shirlee always was a big fan of Rock & Roll especially Guns N’ Roses, a big fan of Eminem as well. Shirlee most of all loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and the rest of her extended family. Shirlee is now reunited with her beloved daughter Sheri in heaven.

Shirlee is survived by her husband Jerry Schremp, sisters; Gerrie Maxam (Terry Tolbert), Linda Lee (Bob Lee) her children; Jared Schremp (Myles Taylor), Ron Harrington, Sean Harrington, stepdaughter Karrie Schremp, son-in-law John Buchanan, Grandchildren; Jake Harrington (Sarah Perkins), Michael Buchanan, Max Harrington and an expectant great granddaughter this spring.

Shirlee is pre-deceased by her parents, Norman and Daphne; her sister Maxine, daughter Sheri Harrington and her beloved dog Kirby.

Shirlee was known for her kind and loving heart. Christmas was her favorite holiday as she always made sure nobody went without.

Her family would like to thank everyone for all their love and support through these hard times.

Per her request there will be no calling hours at this time. However, there will be a private Celebration of life ceremony in the spring, date, and time TBA. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Brewerton, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA in her honor.
