Ruth Annetta Thorn, 58, of Pulaski, NY died unexpectedly on Sunday January 22, 2023.
Ruth was born on December 2, 1964 to Robert and Margaret Monteith. She graduated from Mexico High School in 1983. Ruth served in the Navy from 1985-1989. Ruth also attended school to become a Nail and Hair Technician at OCM BOCES.
Ruth loved her family more than anything and would always put her families needs above her own. Ruth spent her Summers camping with her mother, Margaret, at Cedar Point State Park. This was something she looked forward to each year. Ruth also had a love for reading, you could often find her spending her down time in a quiet area with a book in her hand.
Ruth was proceeded in death by her father, Robert Monteith.
Survivors include daughter, Sondra (Christine) Thorn of Central Square, New York; mother, Margaret Monteith of Pulaski, New York; Sisters, Brandi Woodmancy and Amy Monteith-Burghart; Brothers, Robert Monteith Jr., Frank Woodmancy III, Jamie Monteith, and Harold Monteith.
Funeral Services will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico, NY. Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
