Roger E. Sprague, 89 of Mexico, NY; died peacefully in his sleep Thursday, July 13, 2023.
Roger was predeceased by his wife Margaret and daughters Christine, Cindy, and Diane. He is survived by his daughters, Margaret (Bob) Carnes, Renee' (Mike) Lawton, sons Roger (Kathy) and Rodney (Suzanne), grandchildren Randy, Shannon, Christine, Aimee, Josh, Kali, Alyssa, Nathan, Garrett, and 16 great grandchildren.
Roger was a member of St Mary's Star of the Sea for over 50 years. Roger was employed as a switchman for 45 years with the New York Tel/Bell System. He served on the Mexico Town Planning Board for 26 years.
He will be remembered by all those who knew him for his sense of humor and will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
Calling hours will be 4-6 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico, NY.
A graveside service at the family’s convenience will be held with burial in the Mexico Village Cemetery.
