June 26, 2019

Ralph Ariola, 85, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Mexico, NY; passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, after a brief battle in the hospital.

Ralph worked as a Carpenter and retired as a member of the Local #747. He volunteered many hours at the Mexico Community Park and was an original member of the MACS Booster Club. He played in several golf leagues in New York and Florida. Ralph had a unique passion for sports, that included coaching baseball for many successful years. He was an avid golfer and a dedicated fan of all Syracuse Athletics, along with his beloved New York Yankees and New York Football Giants.

Ralph was pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 38 years, Patricia and his grandson, Brian; both of Mexico, NY; his two sisters, Sharon and Marie; and his brother, Tony; all of Syracuse, NY; and a great grandson, Chandler Joshua. Our hearts are broken, but we are at peace knowing that he is no longer hurting and is now with so many of his loved ones.

Ralph is survived by, his companion of 20 years, Barb Ostashean, of Lakeland, FL, who we all thank greatly for everything she has done throughout the years; his four children, Ralph P. (Marcia) of Mexico, NY, Darlene (Dean) of Lillington, NC, Mike (Jennifer) of Mexico, NY and Nick of Altmar, NY; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters, JoAnn and Rosalie; and his brother, John.
