Colleen and family, I am very saddened to read of your mom’s passing. My parents and your grandparents were good friends. There was a period in my childhood when we spent a lot of time together. My memories are very strong of the 1960s.....watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show with your mom and Aunt Sue....I also have a vivid memory of watching part of JFKs funeral with them. I am a nurse who worked at St Joes for 40 years. The few times times your grandmother was a patient there, I would visit and get caught up with your mom and aunt. It has been a long time since I’ve had contact with your mom but we were in touch when both your grandmother and my mom passed away. Ironically I was going to reach out to your mom via Facebook this past week to let her know that my dad passed away. She and Aunt Sue were definitely on my list.....but it appears that dad and she entered heaven on the same day. He passed also last Tuesday at 1:45pm and I was blessed to have been with him. (His obit is also in today’s paper - Jack Christensen).
Please give my condolences to your whole family and especially Sue. Hopefully someday our paths will cross and we will be able to meet. Zoe

I was so saddened to learn of the passing of Pat..not for her as I know she is in God's hands but for those left behind to miss her. We do have the hope of meeting again in heaven when it is our time and that is encouraging to me. I had the honor to be her Dental Hygienist for nearly 20 years and always enjoyed her visits, she was always smiling even if she was having a bad day and she always had humor. She loved her family very much as she always talked about them and kept me up to date with what was going on. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you mourn her loss and may you keep the memories strong in your hearts. God Bless!
