Obituary for Patricia A. Moynihan

IN LOVING MEMORY
PATRICIA A. MOYNIHAN
March 31, 2020

Patricia A. Moynihan, 68, of Palermo passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2020, after a sudden, brief illness. Pat loved to pray and read, to watch movies and NFL football (go, Broncos!), and especially any opportunity to spend time with her family.

Pat is survived by her older sister, Suzanne Carlson of Palermo; daughter Colleen Moynihan of Harrisville; son Jeremiah “Jay” Moynihan of Syracuse; and stepdaughter Heather (Chad) Dillon of Springfield, Oregon; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and eight step- and bonus grandchildren, all of whom she loved without reserve; and a large network of extended family and friends around the globe.

She is predeceased by her parents, Donald and Virginia Edgar, and her beloved husband of 36 years, Timothy R-S. Moynihan. Pat was a devout Catholic, and was honored to be a godmother many times over.

She prayed often, including daily Rosaries, and dedicated time and love to her Lord in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament when physically able. A Mass and Memorial in remembrance of Pat will be held when possible. An immediate burial service will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that a contribution be offered in her name to either her home parish, St. Anne, Mother of Mary Catholic church in Mexico, NY, or to the CNY SPCA on East Molloy Road in Syracuse, NY, where she adopted two of her cherished dogs. Alternatively, for friends who share her faith, we ask that you please consider letting her legacy of Adoration inspire you to give time in that way in your own local parish.

Arrangements in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico, NY.
