Patricia Marie (Carpenter) Hahn was born in Syracuse January 5, 1947. She passed at home after battling cancer. She was known by many titles: Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Neighbor, Helper and Friend.
Patty attended Onondaga Central School and then graduated from Marcellus High School. She then attended Cayuga Community College and SUNY Oswego.
She worked as a waitress at the Jordan Diner, was an assistant teacher at Headstart in Jordan for PEACE Inc. and she was a bus driver at Onondaga Central School.
Patty volunteered as a Den Mother, Assistant Girl Scout Leader, taught Sunday School and was President of the VFW Auxiliary Post 369 in Mexico, NY.
Patricia is predeceased by her parents, John and Betty Carpenter; by her brother, John Carpenter Jr. and by her daughter Megan Delong-Hahn. Patty is survived by her husband, Gerald Hahn Sr.; sons, Gerald Jr. (Cheryl) Hahn, Marc Hahn, Theodore (Holly Hutyera) Hahn; Daughter Cathy Brown; Grandchildren; Aletta (James) Simpson, Tyler (Jess) Hahn, Sam Hahn, Merith Hutyera, Dylan Brown, Francesca Brown, Emma Trainham; great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Piper Simpson; her sister, Virginia (Gary) Grome and sister-in-law Patricia Carpenter along with several nephews, nieces and cousins.
A service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday July 15, 2023; from Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Mexico, NY. Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. A luncheon will be served at the First United Methodist Church of Mexico. Arrangements are in care of the Harter Funeral Home Mexico NY.
