Nancy Lou Horton-Steere, 81, of Mexico NY; passed away peacefully December 25, 2022 with family by her side. Born in Syracuse NY and the daughter of Anna M Nortz. Nancy moved to Mexico in 1964, raised her five children with David Horton and then resided there the rest of her life to marry Donald Steere.

Nancy was a founding and life time member of Donald Mcfee Memorial Ambulance . Along with this she was a devoted registered nurse to many hospitals and retired from Dignity Plus . Nancy loved spending time with her family ,listening to music and knitting . Along with her mother she was pre deceased by her son David M Horton Jr.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband Donald Steere, her brother Jon E.(JoEllen) Nortz Oneida NY ,sister Kathy (Wayne) Swift, Orlando Florida, daughter Mary Beth Horton , North Syracuse NY , sons John (Lori) Horton, Lewiston ME , Micheal (Frances) Horton, Wales ME. Douglas - Smokey (Danielle) Horton Brewerton NY, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call January 4, 2023 from 4-6 pm services to follow, at Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Mexico NY.

In lieu of flowers all donations can be made to Donald Mcfee Memorial Ambulance of Mexico.
