Obituary for Mikayla Elizabeth Guile

Mikayla E. Guile
March 30, 2019

On March 30, 2019, Mikayla E. Guile, 19, of Pulaski, NY; a beautiful child of God, gained her wings due to an unexpected motor vehicle accident. She was born on June 7, 1999 in Oswego, NY to Lonniel L. Guile and Tammy S. Grant.

Mikayla was a 2017 graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central Schools, and also attended CITI BOCES, in Cosmetology. She was furthering her education at Bryant & Stratton, with aspirations to become a Medical Assistant. She was looking forward to her graduation on April 20, 2019 and taking a vacation with friends. She had started blazing her trail into adulthood, getting her own apartment, a car and a job in her chosen field. Mikayla enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, dancing, spending time with her dad in the “Push Truck” at the Oswego Speedway, the Steele Palace, watching her cousin Michael Barnes win. She liked to spend her time smiling with others and always had a hug and a smile to give. She could accomplish anything that she put her mind to. Mikayla had a huge heart, and her future was so bright.

She was pre-deceased by her maternal grandmother Oma F. (Grant) Courbat, of Mexico, NY.

Mikayla is survived by her father, Lonniel L. Guile (Jodie Patla), of Sherrill, NY; her mother, Tammy S. Grant, of Pulaski, NY; paternal grandparents, Lonnie and Dolores Worley, and Richard Guile; maternal grandfather, Fay Courbat; her aunt, Lorrie (Loren) Burrows; Uncle Edward (Jeanne) Grant; her cousins, Abby Burrows, Nathan Burrows, Sarah (Josh) Townsend, Rachel (Justin) Mainero and Andrew (Becca) Grant; numerous great, aunts, uncles and cousins; her Oswego Speedway Family and her special friend, Linda Chamberlain.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico NY. Spring Interment will be in the Mexico Village Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2019 at the funeral home.
