In Loving Memory
Marie A. Clark
February 7, 2023

Marie passed away on February 7, 2023 surrounded by her family, after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born to Lavern Maltby and Christine (Parker) Maltby in Adams Center, NY. She grew up in LaFargeville, NY. There she met Ivan E. Clark. They were married on June 20, 1964 and had four children.

Marie retired from Mexico Academy and Central Schools after 30 years as a School Bus Driver. She also drove for LaFargeville School District. She always enjoyed working with children. She also enjoyed gardening, bird watching and reading. Marie was a lover of classic country music and would often sing along while cleaning the home, that she took so much pride in. The accomplishment she was most proud of was raising her family.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Lavern and Christine; along with her beloved husband, Ivan.

Marie is survived by her children, Victoria C. Syrell (Randy Sanford), Phillip S. (Wendy) Clark, Charles I. (Karen) Clark and Beverly A. Ware; sisters, Louise Thompson and Torrie (Darwin) Danks; sisters-in-law, Mary (Robert) Dietterich, Trudy (Mark) Kilmer and Millie Clark (Michael Doyle); along with her long time friend and sister-in-law, Ann Smith. She had eight grandchildren, Tiffany Green (Nikolaus Parmelee), Griffin Clark (Nicole Maiello), Taylor Green (Joseph Bristol), Shelbi Clark , Kristin Ware (Austin Fox) Kade Clark, Ethan Ware (Amanda Halsey) and Dagan Clark. She also had three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Spring Graveside Services will be celebrated at a time to be announced. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations in Marie’s name be made to Hospice of CNY.
