IN LOVING MEMORY

Lynn Carl Rasbeck
September 18, 2019

Lynn Carl Rasbeck, 72, of Mexico, NY; passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, with his loving family by his side.

Lynn is survived by, his wife of 23 years, Kimberly; his children, Todd (Krystal) Rasback, Julie Rasbeck (Edward) Bristol, Rhiannon (Larry) Sixberry and Amanda and Katherine; grandchildren, Dakota (Knowles) Rasbeck, Peyton and Jonathan Rasbeck and Jason and Justin Bristol; great-granddaughter, Charlee Rose Rogers; siblings, Brenda Badger, Diane Milewski and Larry (Theresa) Rasbeck; along with many loved nieces and nephews; his fur-babies, Brodie, Wally and Bean.

Lynn was pre-deceased in death by, his parents, Lyle and Winnona (Worden) Rasbeck.

Lynn was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1967-1969. He was in Pleiku during the Tet Offensive. He served with the 20th Engineer Brigade and the 522nd Engineer Company. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with (60 Device 60) Sharpshooter Badge (M-14 Rifle) and a Certificate of Achievement.

He was a Life Member of the Edick-Hamlink VFW Post #369 in Mexico, NY. He served with the Post Honor Guard and was Post Commander from 1993-1994. He was also a Life Member of the Am-Vets Post #370, Mexico, NY.

Lynn was born and raised in Oswego County and grew up Farming on the Family Farm until graduating from Mexico High School in 1966, then entering the armed forces. He was a retired Truck Driver and enjoyed collecting farm toys, equipment, model cars, tractor trailers and tractors. He loved the NY Giants, NASCAR, being outside in his garage, woodworking and his vegetable gardens.

A Celebration of Lynn's life will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edick-Hamlink VFW Post #369, 5930 Scenic Avenue, Mexico, NY.
