Louis J. Wood, 74 of Parish, NY; passed away at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Louis was pre-deceased by his wife of 49 years, Donna Preeman Wood. He was born in Oswego, son to Louis (deceased) and Marion Ladd Wood.
He was an Army Veteran, serving from 1969 to 1974. Louis worked for Borden’s Ice Cream (nearly 30 years), Schoeller Technical Paper, and retired from APW High School as a custodian. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed cooking and watching sports, and loved performing acts of kindness.
Louis is survived by his two sons, William (Sarah) Wood and Robert (Kimberly) Wood; three grandchildren, Haylie, Zachary and Brittany; mother Marion Wood along with several siblings, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday February 28, 2023 at Harter Funeral Home Inc. 2983 W. Main Street Parish, NY. Spring Burial with Full Military Honors will be in Mexico Village Cemetery at a time to be announced.
