Lorraine L. (Murray) Himes, 88, of Oswego, NY; passed away Thursday June 15, 2023 at St.Luke Residential Health Care Facility in Oswego NY. She was born in Oswego, daughter of the late James and Teresa Truell Murray. She was married for 70 years to Leo R. Himes. She was a member of Christ the good Shepard Catholic Church in Oswego NY. She graduated from Oswego High School. She taught CCD at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Mexico NY and was a member of the women’s guild where she served as President, Vice President and Secretary.

Lorraine is predeceased by her daughter Mary Himes; her son Don Himes; her brother John Murray and her sister Janet Reid.

Lorraine is survived by her husband Leo; her children Terry (Nelson) Clark, Art (Peggy Rose) Himes, John (Roseann Johnson) Himes, Mark (Amy LoBello) Himes, Anne (Rick) Sherman and Leon Himes; her daughter in law Bonnie Cowley; her grandchildren Marcia, Cyndi, Bill, Kelly, Mitch, Karen, Hilarie, Amanda, Kenny, Brandon, Jason, James, Melinda, Emeline, Makayla, Marshall, Whitney, Megan, Katie and Jacob; 23 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and her brother James Murray.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday June 24, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Oswego NY. Private Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Mexico, NY.
