Linda Louise Baxter
January 31, 1940 – September 2, 2022

Linda was born in Fulton New York, the daughter of Leona Belle Whipple and Harold Lamson. She was the youngest of 5 children. She is predeceased by her sister Shirley (Ken) House, and brother Roger (Pat) Lamson. She is survived by her sister Patricia McCleary and sister Marilyn (Chet) Ford.

Linda married Dean F. Baxter on September 08, 1957 and they resided in Hastings NY. They were married for 61 years, Dean passed away in 2018. They had 4 children, son Robert (Ann) Baxter, and daughter Donna (John) Salerno. She was predeceased by two daughters, Beverly Jean and Judy Lynn.

Linda is the proud grandparent of James (Stephanie) Baxter and Graig (Amanda) Baxter. Linda has 4 great grandchildren whom she adored, Emma, Evelyn, Eleanor, and Samuel.

Linda was employed at Carvel as a cake decorator for many years.

She loved visiting with friends and family, loved her home, flower garden and hummingbirds.

She leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews and close friends. A special thank you to her dear friend Ann Deon, her niece Linda James, and nephews Chet Ford Jr and Merrill House, who helped care for her during her hard fought battle with cancer.

Friends and family are invited to call from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Harter Funeral home in Brewerton NY. A celebration of live will be scheduled at the Central Square Baptist Church at a later date. Linda will be buried at Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Francis House.
