Lewis Bernard John Senecal, 82, from Alexandria Bay, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2020 with his family by his side. He was an avid musician who played in many local bands and was employed with Union #547 for many years. After suffering a stroke in 1974, Bernie spent the remainder of his life caring for his wife Sharon, children, and grandchildren. He spent many years in Hudson, Florida before returning to Central Square for the remainder of his days.

He is predeceased by his wife of 60 years Sharon; his mother and father, Marguerite and Lawrence Senecal; brothers Milton and Loyal; and sisters Audrey and Daphne. He is survived by children Tammy, Anthony (Carla), and Julie Hart (Larry); grandchildren Nicholas, Jenny, Jessica, Leah, Lawrence, Joshua, and Megan; great-grandchildren Hendrix, Caroline and Raymond; sisters Dorothy Beach, Donna Millett, and Jeanne Thomes.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from Divine Mercy Parish, 592 S. Main Street, Central Square, NY. Friends and family are invited to call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, at the church, prior to mass.

The family would like to thank Bernie’s grandchildren Nick and Jenny for their assistance in taking care of their Papa over the last year. The family would also like to thank the nurses at Crouse Hospital.
