Karen Mae Smith, 54, of Mexico, NY; passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at University Hospital in Syracuse, NY, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on May 4, 1967 in Baldwinsville, NY to the late Richard and Lorraine Castle Allen.

She worked as the Head House Keeper for the YMCA of Syracuse, NY.

Karen is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, James; three children, James Smith, Jr., Bert A. Smith and Megan (Cody) Brown; four grandchildren, Lyla Mae Smith, Alex James Smith, Christina Mae Smith and Elizabeth Smith.

Funeral Services will be celebrated Privately. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Mexico, NY.
