Allie, I just learned of Mr. Proud’s passing. I was a teacher at MACS 1984-1995 in the Business Department. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Jack was a great friend who provided me with many fine memories. I will miss him.

We’ve read the Palladium Times article on Jack with all the testaments to his character and integrity. He was indeed a fine man – someone to be respected, kind and supportive. He had many friends for good reason and he was always there for me and my family.
I wish we could offer our condolences to Allie and family in person, but a temporary illness prevents us from traveling. Nonetheless, you are all in our thoughts and prayers as we mourn the passing of someone so special!

John (Jack) Proud was a truly honorable and fair gentleman, at all times and particularly during his time as a County Legislator, when I made his acquaintance. His support for senior citizens and all county residents was unparalleled. Rest In Peace.
