John F. Kramer, 70, of Mexico, NY passed away peacefully on May 8, 2020.

John was born the second son of the late George E.S. and Eleanor (Bennett) Kramer on March 9, 1950. He was a 1968 graduate of East Syracuse - Minoa Central Schools. After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1971 he returned to East Syracuse and in 1972 completed the apprentice program for tool and die maker thus starting his career with General Motors.

After retiring in 2002 John purchased land in Mexico, NY to be near his family. He enjoyed the outdoors and was always happy to share all of nature with the entire family, whether it be on a golf cart ride to watch the deer or the daily feeding of the fish at his ponds, he also graciously opened his home for our family holiday gatherings which have made great memories for all.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his brothers George E.S. (Michael Farr) Kramer II of East Syracuse, NY and William Kramer of Syracuse, NY and sister Susan (Donald) Ladd of Mexico, NY, son Zachary Smith and grandson Nicholas Smith both of Baton Rouge, LA. Nieces and nephews: Jodi (Timothy) Gorman of Mexico, NY, Tricia (Nicholas Borsellino) Wagner of Cazenovia, NY, Robert (Alison) Kramer of Syracuse, NY, Donald (Ann Marie) Ladd of Mexico, NY and Kathleen (Richard) Kolceski of Jamesville, NY. Also great nieces and nephews: Adora and Timothy Gorman, Gavin Wagner, and Sophia, Isabella and Liliana Kolceski.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local food pantry in John’s memory.
