Jennifer L. Damiano, 46 of Hudson NY passed away April 16, 2020; surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer.
She was born May 22, 1973 in Oswego County, Upstate NY and is the daughter of Angelo Damiano of Patris, Italy (deceased) and Sharron Damiano Dann (Norman Dann) of Fulton, NY.
She attended J.C. Birdlebough High School in Phoenix NY. Jennifer earned her Associate’s Degree of Arts in 1993 from Mohawk Valley Community College and received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in 1995 from RIT. She obtained additional training in her design career earning certifications from University of Cambridge, Pratt, and The School of Visual Arts.
Jennifer was a talented Graphic Designer. After moving to NYC, she was employed by Avenue Magazine working with numerous globally respected brands such as Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Cartier, and Gianni Versace amongst many others.
Jen later worked for Lowes Corp. as an Art director for their brand management as well as Re-bath.
In 2006 Jennifer started her own award-winning freelance Corporation “Damiano Design”, where she worked with many notable non-profit and socially conscious companies including Human Rights Watch, NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Rockefeller Foundation, ORT America, David M. Hunt Library, Cancer Care and Piper Theatre Productions. Throughout her life Jen was deeply engaged in local and international charity organizations. Her proudest charity work being Better Future International Haiti, a non-profit company focused on the education and wellbeing of children, whom she raised over $10,000 through her YouTube solicitations campaigns while receiving her first round of Chemo late 2016.
In 2019 she joined the NYS Workers Compensation Board as a Graphic Designer.
Jennifer appreciated the Arts, animals and the outdoors. She loved to travel and explore. She made routine travels to Italy where her roots originated as that was very important to her to visit family
Jennifer is survived by her two beautiful boys, Campion Oscar-Marcel Damiano and Pierce Montgomery-Rafe Damiano, End of life devoted partner Maria Bove, Siblings Angelo Damiano, Theresa Damiano, Frank Damiano and Denise Damiano (Larry Brown), Nephew Angelo Stewart and Niece Michelle Stewart, many cousins, friends and loved ones.
Funeral Services will be at a time to be announced. Arrangements are in care of the Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico, NY.
