James Parsons, aged 69, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 at Van Duyn in Syracuse, NY. James was born on August 24, 1954 in Syracuse NY. He grew up in the city of Syracuse, son of Mildred and Alvin Parsons. He graduated from Central Tech High School and worked at NAPA Auto Parts throughout his life; eventually retiring in 2018.

James was family oriented and loved spending time with his children, his dogs and camping with his family.

He’s survived by his children, Elizabeth Parsons, Alysa (Ari) Bowman, his ex-wife, Susan Filiatrault, his siblings Tom (Deb), Robert (Jeanne), Doug, Bruce (Shari), April (Keith) Wilson, Becky Warren, Hazel West, and Candy (Ed) Brooks, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his longtime caregiver Takida Beckwith.

James is predeceased by his parents and Brothers In-Law, Bruce Warren and Russel West, and Sister In-Law, Debbi Parsons.

A celebration of life will take place at a future date, family will be notified of the date. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9525 S. Main Street, Brewerton, NY.
