Obituary for Henry L. Piseski

Henry L. Piseski
January 7, 2019

Henry L. Piseski, 85, of West Amboy, NY went to be with our Lord on January 7, 2019. He was a lifetime resident of West Amboy where he owned and operated a dairy farm. Henry graduated from Parish High School in June 1950 and also attended business school in Syracuse NY. Always involved in his community and church, Henry held the offices of Town Clerk and then Town Supervisor for 41 years in the Town of Amboy. He was very proud of the renovations and new addition made to the Town Hall under his leadership. He was also active in the West Amboy Fire Department and St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Williamstown NY.
An avid sports fan and reader, he was a faithful supporter of Syracuse University, and his local APW High School football and basketball teams. His kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity were ever-present and his absence is going to leave a big void in the community. He is now out of pain and at peace with God and will be missed by all.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, John and Mary Piseski, brother, Edward, sisters Vicky, Helen, Pearl, Adel and Leonora. He is survived by sister, Cecilia Lopitz of Parish, and brother, John, of Zephyrhills, Florida, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 from St. Anne Mother of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Main Street, Mexico, NY. Spring Interment will be in the Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish, NY. Friends and family are invited to call from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Harter Funeral Home, 2983 W. Main Street, Parish, NY. A luncheon will follow mass on Friday, at the West Amboy Community Church.
