George R. Showers, Jr.

George R. Showers Jr. passed away peacefully on October 10, 2022. George was born and raised in New Haven, New York and is the son of late George and Alberta Showers.

George served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972. During his military enlistment, he served in the Vietnam War. George received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

George is predeceased by his wife Carol Showers and sister Mary Warrington.

George is survived by his daughter, Jaqueline (Jason) Lando. Also surviving is his sister Lillian (Michael) Kimpland, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will Full Military Honors will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 in the New Haven Rural Cemetery, New Haven, NY. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico, NY.
