Flora B. Hotaling 93, of Mexico, passed away peacefully in her childhood home, where she was raised by her parents Lyman and Luava Duboise

She was their only child. Flora was a Mexico graduate. She then married Richard G. Hotaling in 1951, They settled in North Syracuse where they raised their 3 children. She retired from Mammoth Brownell in Kirkville as a bookkeeper. She also worked for Nestle back in the day.

She enjoyed square dancing with a couples club, playing cards, and loved her dogs dearly. She found much joy spending time at their family camp on Sage Creek Drive and spent many summers with the children on the lake. She and her husband made many memories on the water with family and dear friends. She loved going out for fish dinners on Friday nights.

After retirement, they settled in Avon Park Florida. They made great friendships in their park. They resided there for 30 years. They loved to travel throughout the US, and aboard, Her favorite country was
New Zealand. In 2016 she moved back to NY to be with family and grandchildren

Surviving are three children, Gary Hotaling ( Cathy) of New Haven, Paul Hotaling ( Robin) of Mexico and Cherrie Dunning (Mark) of Georgia; a brother and sister-in-law James and Dorothy Hotaling of Sherrill, whom the family holds dear; eight grandchildren, Tammy O'Neil of Mexico, Will Hotaling of Mexico, Joseph Hotaling (Karley Babcock ) of Mexico, Matthew Hotaling of New York City, Patrick (Kati) Hotaling of Mexico, Ryan (Sydney) Hotaling of Mexico, Josiah Dunning (Emily Fiel) of Liverpool, Jordan Dunning (Rachel Matt) of Palermo; 14 Great grandchildren, Zarrin O'Neil, Cian O'Neil, Anin O'Neil, Simeon O'Neil, Ethan Hotaling, Rhett Hotaling and Ally Hotaling. Noah and Sophia Hotaling, Gwen and Ty Hotaling, Emily ,Audrey and Colton Hotaling; a nephew Larry Hotaling of Sweden, and a cousin Charles Kingsbury of Oswego.

Graveside Services will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 in Mexico Village Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Mexico, NY.
