Edwin H. Lighthall III, 64, of New Haven, NY; died Friday, March 22, 2019 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Ed was an Engineer for Exelon Corp. retiring in December of 2016. He was a 41-year member of the New Haven Volunteer Fire Corporation. He was also an Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 825 in Mexico, NY and a member of the Eagle Scout Board of Review. Ed was an active member of the New Haven United Methodist Church. He and his wife Lorraine were scorers for synchronized swimming for many years. He was an avid camper, hiker and outdoorsman.

He was pre-deceased by, his brother, Donald Lighthall, in 1973.

Ed is survived by, his wife of 43 years, Lorraine Fischer; their four children, Regina (Ruben) Cordova, of Albuquerque, NM, Kelly (Stephen) Irwin, of Malaga, Spain, Louise (Phil) Rodas, of Victor, NY, and Jason (Jessica) Lighthall, of New Haven, NY; grandchildren, Julian, Madison “James”, Elliot, Levi, Joshua, Cameron, Lucas, Emmeline and Tabitha; his parents, Edwin H. and Barbara Lighthall, Jr.; brothers, William Lighthall, of Mexico, NY and Robert Lighthall, of Oswego, NY; three sisters, Dianne Gallenberger, of Hendersonville, NC, Susan Buske, of Oswego, NY and Marcia Albrecht, of Mexico, NY; along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from the New Haven United Methodist Church, 4235 State Route 104, New Haven, NY. Spring Interment will be in the New Haven Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico, NY.
