Dorothy E. (Swick) Vecchio, 97, passed away on May 1, 2019 at Morning Star Nursing
Home in Oswego, NY. Born in Johnstown, OH to the late Vernon and Kittie (Cramer) Swick,
Dorothy lived most of her life in Parish, NY. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew of
32 years, daughter Deborah Spalsbury, five brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her son David (Debbie) Vecchio of Parish, NY; daughter Vicki (Gary) Neuser
of Phoenix, AZ; daughter Carol (Kenneth) Setting of Cape Coral, FL; 11 grandchildren and
several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dorothy served in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) during World War II and was an active
member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mexico, NY. A devout Catholic, she devoted years of
volunteer service to St. Anne’s Catholic Church and the Diocese of Syracuse.
Per her request, services will be private and her remains donated to SUNY Upstate Medical
University - Anatomical Gift Program in Syracuse.
