Donald L. Hadcock, 90, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

Known affectionately as NAPA Had, he ran the NAPA store in Mexico for many years. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is predeceased by his son Howard and his loving wife Joan. He is survived by his daughter Lisa Wood, grandchildren Sean Wood (and his wife Nicole), Jessica Wood (and her fiancée Kristina Pickett), and great-grandchildren Sean Jr., Natalie, and Cooper, along with many nieces and nephews. He spent many years helping out at Pople Ridge Farm and at many racetracks and considered them all family. He will truly be missed.

He was a true icon in Mexico and known by almost everyone. He would have done anything to help out someone else. He made many after-hours trips to the NAPA store to get parts for the Fire Dept. or anyone else that was stranded or just needed a little something to finish the job.

Per his wishes, there won’t be any services, but there will be a celebration of life for him on October 8, 2022, from 1-4 at the Mexico VFW. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Mexico, NY.
