Obituary for Dennis B. Truax

In Loving Remembrance
Dennis B. Truax
January 6, 2024

Dennis was born on August 17, 1946. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary (Price) Truax, his children Dennis (Jill) Truax II, Timothy Truax, and Tanya (Michael) Twarozek, and his grandchildren Kaden Roots and Kennedy Twarozek. Dennis is also survived by his sisters Katherine (John) Myers and Brenda Truax. He was predeceased by his mother, Irene (Tom) Rathbun, father, Arthur Truax, brothers William (Carolyn) Truax and Kenneth Truax.

Dennis’ legacy is also seen in all of those who sought his advice, in the children he coached in baseball, in all of the bright smiles from the young ones who never left the stand without a treat of some sort, or the neighbors he plowed out every winter.

Dennis served in the Army from 1963-1966. He was stationed in Korea, but was moved throughout the region. He was also a member of the Mexico VFW.

Dennis retired from the Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant as well as from the Laborers Union. Although Mary never really let him have too much free time in the summer and put him to work with her at Price’s Fruit Stand. When he wasn’t working at the stand, Dennis could be found out in the barn working on a project. He could create anything with his hands. Whether he was building a new greenhouse, or a cradle for a new little one, he could do it all.
