In loving memory of David Raymond Hellinger, 72 of Pulaski NY. He passed away on March 10, 2022, at the VA Hospital in Syracuse. He was born at Oswego Hospital on January 26, 1950. He is the son of the late Raymond C. Hellinger and Leollia Quackenbush of Mexico NY.
He graduated from Mexico High School in 1969. He served in the United States Air Force from 1969-1973 with an honorable discharge in Dover, Delaware. He married Judith on August 12, 1972, in Dover, Delaware.
He worked at New Process Gear in Syracuse NY and at Industrial Precision Products in Oswego, NY. He is a member of the Pulaski American Legion Auxiliary 358. He loved working on the farm, working with his backhoe, fixing up cars, and hunting.
He is predeceased by his wife Judith Ann Hellinger of Pulaski NY in 2020, his son Raymond Hellinger of CO. in 2020, stepdaughter Caroline of NC, in 2017, brother Charles Hellinger of Mexico NY, in 2000, sister-in-law Rita Thornton of Clay NY, in 2021, sister-in-law Grace Hellinger of Mexico , NY, in 2010, granddaughter Tiffany Bonacquisti of Mexico, NY, in 2019.
He is survived by his son David Hellinger (Nicole) of Parker CO, daughter Carrie Hellinger LaFlamm of Cicero NY, stepdaughter Angeline Baum (Bill) of Vero Beach FL, Joseph Bonacquisti of Nashua NH, stepdaughter Joanne Nichols of Pulaski NY, sister Patricia Hellinger of Clay NY, brother Arthur Hellinger (Kathy) of Mattydale NY, along with 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At his request, there will be no calling hours. There will be a graveside service with military service on May 28, 2022, at 11:00 am at the South Richland Cemetery with a celebration of life following at the Pulaski American Legion from 12:00-2:00. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico, NY.
