Cyril J. Hurteau "Buster"

Cyril J. Hurteau, 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Loretto Health and Rehabilitation in Syracuse, NY. He was born in Massena, NY on April 14, 1937.

Cyril served our country as a member of United States Air Force, serving as an Airmen 3rd Class.

He moved few times, finally settling in Solvay at 3147 Milton Avenue. He worked in many places most recently at Wegmans in North Syracuse before he retired. Cyril liked spending time with family and friends, but also liked his alone time.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Henry and Rose (Chatelle) Hurteau; a brother Vernon (Maryjane) Hurteau; and sisters Theresa DelNero and Gertrude Parkinson.

Cyril is survived by his children Crystal Buckler, Wendy Reid, Stephanie Johnson and Daniel Hurteau; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; Deborah &Vernon. Hurteau his caregivers until he went to Loretto; and many aunts, cousins, and other family members.

Graveside Services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023 in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish, NY in Lot 269 Section 9b Grave 3. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Parish, NY.
