Chester W. Warren

Chester W. Warren 91, of Craw Road, Mexico, NY; went into the arms of the Lord on June 25, 2023 at Oswego Hospital after having a heart attack at his home.

Chet was born April 15, 1932 in the Township of Albion, the son of Harold W. Warren and Ethel Wallis. He was pre-deceased by his parents; an infant daughter Kathy; his son, Keith; brothers Harold, Marvin and Terry; wives, Rosalee and Norma.

Chet is survived by his companion Deborah Smith; daughter, Tammy (Mario) Estrada, of Utah; sons, Anthony (Ronelle) Warren, of Utah, William (Sally) Warren, of Mexico, Karen Johnson, of Volney, Richard Warren, of Texas;
19 grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; sisters, Betty and Rosemary; and brothers Edward and Jack.

Chet was master of all trades, nothing he couldn't fix. He was a truck driver at heart, owned and operated Warren Construction until his retirement. He never liked the word retirement, and continued keeping busy welding, gardening, keeping his lawn in golf course shape. He loved fishing, hunting, making birdhouses and cooking his Goulash, pan potatoes, and making sure the chicken was seasoned! His biggest joy of the past was visiting Utah to be with family.

He put his heart into every thing he did, still worked everyday doing something. He was loved and will be sadly missed by family, many friends & neighbors, his cat companions Ms. Millie & Mr. Meow.

Graveside Services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023 in the North Volney Cemetery. Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico, NY.
Anyone who'd like to be part of the funeral procession to North Volney can meet at his home located at 45 Craw Road between 10 and 10:30 a.m. to follow him to his final resting place. He's in God's arms holding his little baby Kathy.
