In Loving Memory of Bernard A. Farrell

Bernard A. Farrell, 88, of Brewerton, NY; passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019, at Loretto Fahey, in Syracuse. Bernie was born in Syracuse, NY and lived on the West Side for much of his life. A graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, he was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, serving as an Infantryman, during the Korean War.

Following his discharge, Bernie began a 40-year career as a Finance Officer at Syracuse City Hall. He also worked for many years at the family business, The Parkview Tavern in Syracuse, NY.

In 1971, he married his wife, Julia Salatti. They recently celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary. They resided for many years on Oneida Lake, where they enjoyed the close friendship of their many loving and supportive neighbors. Bernie enjoyed bowling and golf; and was a fixture on many local golf courses.

He was pre-deceased by, his parents, William and Katherine; sisters, Geraldine and Jeanne; and his brother, Bill.

Bernie is survived by, his wife, Julia; sister-in-law, Marion Farrell; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christin Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from Divine Mercy Parish, 592 S. Main Street, Central Square, NY. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY. Friends and family are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2019 at the Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9525 S. Main Street (Brewerton Rd.), Brewerton, NY.
