ALICE L. (PARKER) COSTELLO

Alice L. (Parker) Costello, 92, of Keepsake Village, Liverpool, NY; formerly of Colosse, NY and Zephyr Hills, FL; died on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY due to complications related to COVID-19.

She was born in Hastings, NY, daughter of the late George and Estelle Shoen Parker. Alice was a member of the APW Class of 1946, where she graduated as Valedictorian. She was a 1966 graduate of SUNY Oswego. She then worked as an Elementary School Teacher for the Central Square School District from 1966-1986. She was a communicant of St. Anne Mother of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Mexico, NY and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Anne’s in Parish, NY.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, John Costello and her son, Edward Costello.

Alice is survived by, her daughters, Kathleen (Stan) Schenker of Herndon, VA, Karen Petrucci of Attleboro, MA and Cynthia (Jack) Baum of East Syracuse, NY; along with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2020, in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish, NY. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and in deference to those with medical conditions, services will be Live Streamed. To access the stream please visit, www.harterfuneralhome.com/live-streaming-service. In consideration of the reason for Alice’s death, the family requests that anyone who attends services to please wear a mask and social distance. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, 2021. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico, NY.
