William P. Quigley
June 1, 2022
William P. Quigley, 90, of Central Square passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1 at Crouse hospital in Syracuse. Born in Syracuse on March 4, 1932, he served with the Army in Germany in the early 50's, then, like his father and grandfather before him, he too became a firefighter with the Syracuse Fire Department, retiring in 1976.
Throughout his life, he gained the most satisfaction by helping others in any way he could, always there to lend a helping hand. He also thoroughly enjoyed twice-a-week poker games with his pals.
He was predeceased by his by his wife, Marilyn, His step-daughter, Victoria Pounders and his parents, Joseph and Florence Quigley. Survivors include step-son Jacob (Robin) Zoll , and grandsons, Stephen Barnello and Eric (Lyssa) Newport and two great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. with a service to follow on Mon., June 13 at Harter Funeral Home., 9525 S. Main Street, Brewerton, NY.
